Group Dining in Toronto — Large Tables in Leslieville

A shared table in our main dining room — no minimum spend, no room fee, à la carte or a group set menu. If you need the room to yourselves instead, see private dining.

There are two different ways to bring a group to NOLA, and it's worth knowing the difference before you book. Group dining (this page) means a large table in our main dining room, alongside our other guests — no exclusivity, no minimum spend, and an easier booking process. If you need the room to yourselves, that's private dining: a full or partitioned buyout with a minimum spend and a required set menu.

This page is for the first kind of booking: a well-run shared table for a birthday, a team dinner, or a get-together, without the cost or commitment of a full buyout.

Party Sizes and What's Possible

The question every group organiser actually has is whether we can fit them — here's the honest breakdown by size.

6–8 Guests

À La Carte

Standard booking, no set menu required. Book the same way you would a normal table.

9–14 Guests

Set Menu Recommended

Call ahead so we can plan the kitchen's timing. Set menu keeps service smooth at this size.

15–[MAX_SEATED] Guests

Set Menu Required

A deposit is required to hold the table, and the menu must be finalized in advance.

See Private Dining

Beyond our shared-table maximum, a private dining buyout is the better fit.

Group Menus

Family-style sharing plates for the table, or individually plated courses if you prefer — let us know when you book. Both formats keep the same French-Italian menu you'd order from à la carte, scaled for a group.

Tier One

$[PRICE] / person

Three courses, family-style: a shared starter, choice of two mains, dessert. [Name the actual dishes on this tier before publishing.]

Tier Two

$[PRICE] / person

Four courses, plated individually: starter, pasta course, choice of main, dessert. [Name the actual dishes on this tier before publishing.]

Vegan and gluten-free guests are accommodated on both tiers. [Name the specific vegan and gluten-free dish substitutions here by name before publishing — vague reassurance converts nobody.]

How Billing Works

By default, groups get one bill for the table. We can split payment across multiple cards on request — just let your server know before the bill is run. [Confirm maximum number of split cards and the large-party gratuity policy before publishing; this is a genuine anxiety for organisers and worth stating plainly.]

Why the Room Works for Groups

We won't oversell this: NOLA is not a banquet hall, and we're not claiming to host sixty people. What we do well is a well-run table of up to [MAX_SEATED] guests in a room where you can still hear each other across the table — good lighting, an attentive server assigned to your group, and a kitchen that can time courses for a larger party without the pace falling apart.

Occasions This Suits

Team Dinners

An easy after-work booking for a department or project team, à la carte or set menu depending on size.

Birthdays

See our dedicated birthday dinner page for details on cake, timing, and group-size guidance.

Rehearsal Dinners

Our rehearsal dinner page covers set menu options built for the night before a wedding.

Engagement Dinners

A shared table works well for an engagement dinner where you want a proper meal without the cost of a full buyout.

Common Questions

What's the largest group you can seat?

Up to [MAX_SEATED] at a shared table in the main dining room. For anything larger, see our private dining page for a full room buyout.

Is there a minimum spend?

No minimum spend for group dining in the main room — that's the difference between this and a private dining buyout, which does carry one.

Do we have to pre-order from a set menu?

Parties of 6-8 can order à la carte. From 9-14 we recommend a set menu; parties of 15 or more require one, plus a deposit.

Can you split the bill?

Yes, we can split by card. [Confirm maximum number of cards and any large-party gratuity policy before publishing.]

How far ahead should we book a group of 15?

As early as possible — groups of 15+ require a set menu and deposit, so we need lead time to confirm the menu and hold the table.

What's the difference between group dining and private dining here?

Group dining is a large table in the main room — no exclusivity, no minimum spend. Private dining means the room is yours alone, with a minimum spend and a required set menu.

Can you accommodate vegan and gluten-free guests in a group menu?

Yes. [Name the specific vegan and gluten-free dishes guests receive before publishing.]

Can we give a speech or a toast?

Yes, a quick toast at the table is fine. [Confirm any limits on speeches, AV or amplified sound before publishing.]
